The man behind the lens

My name is Sherwin Stewart. I started Captured By Sherwin in the fall of 2020 after acquiring my first camera that previous summer. With the main goal of capturing the important moments of my life and the lives around me, I also wanted to add my own creative input and style to the images that I take. I never thought a hobby would lead to the foundation of me starting my own business, but photography gave me the opportunity to express my own creativity through someone else's life experiences.

At Captured By Sherwin, photography is more than just taking pictures. I believe that every person has a story to tell, and my main goal as a photographer is to bring that story to life through images. Whether I'm photographing a candid moment or a carefully posed portrait, I strive to create a comfortable environment where my subjects can be themselves. I take pride in my ability to connect with people, making them feel at ease in front of the camera, and drawing out the natural expressions that truly reflect who they are.

Through the lens, I aim to preserve not just the appearance of my clients, but the essence of who they are at that moment in time. Photography, for me, is about creating memories.....images that speak to the heart and remain timeless for years to come.
